AdPay campaigns and Google Ads
AdPay helps you fund Google Ads in Naira, but Google still controls ad review, policy enforcement, auction delivery, and final spend reporting.
Campaign budgets
Your campaign budget sets the amount available for advertising. Wallet funding and changes to an individual Google Ads budget are separate actions.
AdPay inside Mercurie
You can review your accounts and budgets. Adding to, extending or ending a budget is not yet available inside Mercurie. Contact support with the account, amount and dates you need changed. Funding AdPay Wallet does not itself change an account's advertising budget.
Existing adpay.ng customers
Manage budgets using the options available on your account in adpay.ng. Follow the instructions shown for each action; contact support if you need a change that is not available there.
Budget changes depend on wallet balance, date rules, existing budget periods and account readiness. Changes may not appear instantly in Google Ads, and campaigns may still depend on Google review before spend starts.
Overlapping or stuck budget changes
If you request a new budget while another budget change is still processing, the dashboard or support team may need to reconcile the active period before the next change can complete. This protects the campaign from duplicate or overlapping spend windows.
When a budget change looks stuck:
- Refresh the AdPay dashboard and check whether the previous budget is still processing.
- Confirm the campaign name, requested amount, start date, and end date.
- Check whether Google Ads is still reviewing the account, ad, or landing page.
- Contact support with the AdPay email address, campaign name, budget amount, payment reference, and the change you expected to happen.
Support can then confirm whether the change is still processing, needs a retry, or should be closed before a new budget is applied.
Why a campaign may not spend
A funded campaign may not spend immediately if:
- The ad or account is still under Google review.
- Google rejected the ad, landing page, or account setup.
- The campaign budget has not finished processing.
- Targeting, schedule, keyword, or bidding settings are too restrictive.
- The wallet payment has not fully reflected yet.
If your campaign has not started spending after dashboard refresh and Google Ads review, contact support with your AdPay account email, campaign name, budget amount, and when the campaign was funded.
Google policy review
Google can review ads, accounts, websites, products, and business categories. Mercurie can help explain the status and next steps, but Google decides whether an ad or account is approved.
If Google rejects an ad or account, support may ask for changes to your ad copy, landing page, business category, or account details before review can continue.
Spend differences
Google Ads spend can differ from the amount funded because of timing, taxes or fees, campaign delivery limits, policy review, remaining wallet balance, refunds or ended budgets, reporting delays between Google Ads and AdPay, or budget changes that are still processing. Use the AdPay dashboard and any Google Ads reporting shared with you to compare funded amount, available balance, and actual campaign spend.
